BIOGRAPHY
Alessandro Mallamaci – Photography
Professional photographer, Fujifilm ambassador from 2013 to 2015, teacher at Leica Akademie until 2021, he collaborated with EIZO Color Academy. He regularly holds intensive courses and workshops on photography, post-production and fine art printing.
Member of Tau Visual, Associazione Nazionale Fotografi Professionisti, he is represented by Galleria Valeria Bella in Milan.
In 2023 he has been shortlisted at Sony World Photography Awards. He also has been selected for The performing photobook exhibition, curated by Francesca Serravalle at Format International Photography Festival in Derby, Con o senza radici exhibition in Pisa, Back on the Shelf book exhibition at Filter Photo in Chicago.
He was chosen as a winner at Belfast Photo Festival in 2022, he had been awarded with a Bronze Placement at the 2022 Tokyo International Foto Awards and he was choosen as a winner at Lightland Open Call juried by Vittorio Storaro.
He was shortlisted at Andy Rocchelli Grant in 2021, and also received a special mention at Urbanautica Institute Annual Awards in the same year.
He curated the exhibition “Malta 2018” at Leica Galerie Milano, project realised in collaboration with Malta Tourism Authority.
He was scientific consultant for the TV show “Master of Photography“ in 2017 and 2018.
Finalist at Portfolio Italia in 2015, in the same year exhibits at the festival of photography SiFest Off. He has collaborated on Miss Italia in 2011.
He published the book “The drums of Sila – Builders and players of the Casali Cosentini” in 2006, Squilibri Editore.
